Krasnodar, 6 March – Yug Times. Both large companies with hundreds of employees and small enterprises are in the list of wages debtors.
According to the Krasnodar regional administration of the Russian Investigation Committee, counteraction to nonpayment of wages is considered a priority task of the agency.
In 2017, the number of criminal cases filed against the directors of the nonpaying companies reportedly doubled and reached 111. At the same time, the total of the losses caused to employees was 2.5 times lower in 2017 than it was in 2016. Forty one criminal case was taken into court, and 41 top manager of debtor-companies were held liable for their failures.
— All managers whose companies’ debts in wages to their employees had lasted for more than two months were brought to criminal liability. An exception was given only to the companies whose period of indebtedness had been less than that — however we keep on monitoring them too, — the regional Investigation Committee said.
Due to the investigators’ scrupulous work and principled stand, the rights of more than 1,360 Kuban inhabitants whose rights had been broken were restored.
— If the employer had not paid you your wages for two months, or had paid it only partially for three months, or if the amount of your pay for two months was lower than the minimum amount of remuneration of labour [since January 1, 2018, it amounts to 9,489 roubles in the Krasnodar region], then you have the right to appeal to the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation with the corresponding application, — the agency stated.
The deceived employees may appeal to the regional Investigation Administration at 4/1, Krasnoarmeiskaya Street in Krasnodar, or to the administrations working in their respective municipalities, or address their complaint to the website or call-centre +7 861 2673526.
