Krasnodar, 8 March – Yug Times. Sergei Galitsky, ex-owner of the Magnit retail chain, has confirmed his previously expressed intention to take up the reconstruction work of the Aurora cinema in Krasnodar.
According to Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, Mr. Galitsky will continue to invest in the beautification of Krasnodar despite his retirement.
“I remain a citizen of Krasnodar; I will continue living here, and I am proud to be awarded the title of a honorary city-dweller,” Mr. Galitsky said. “So I plan to go on with my projects as a private person, without excessive publicity. At the same time, I am not giving up the projects I have begun - like the reconstruction of the Aurora cinema. I also plan to get involved in the development of youth football, completion of the construction of the park, and support of FC Krasnodar’s stadium.
Sergei Galitsky also reminded that Spain’s national team has chosen FC Krasnodar’s Academy as their base for the period of the 2018 Mundial later this year, which is why the current task is to be prepared to receive the athletes at high level.
