Krasnodar, 13 March – Yug Times. Krasnodar has played host to the All-Russia Forum of Agricultural Producers. It was held at the Kuban State Agrarian University and attended by delegations from 71 Russian regions and federal and regional officials, including Minister of Agriculture Aleksandr Tkachev and President Vladimir Putin.
The forum opened on March 11 at four sites specializing on crop farming, cattle breeding, processing industry and rural development.
During his stay in Krasnodar, Vladimir Putin visited the Lukianenko National Crop Centre. There he spoke about the achievements and challenging tasks of the national agricultural complex. Mr. Putin stressed that agricultural machine-building industry is showing a big advancement, and that it is indigenous crop varieties that give highest yields.
“It is important to support the cooperation of small producers to let them efficiently collaborate with retail chains and improve the quality of their products,” said Putin.
