Krasnodar, 4 October – Yug Times. Rosavtodor (the Federal Road Transport Agency) has reportedly developed a project of reconstruction of the Dzhubga - Sochi highway. Its cost would be 1.3 trillion roubles. If fulfilled, it would be the most expensive automobile road in Russia. At the moment, Ministry of Transport considers such construction inexpedient, and the project is to be handed over for consideration of potential investors. Their list includes such major market players as Severstal, Novatek, Mechel, and a number of state-owned companies. What is more, the investors have been offered to expand the project so that the new highway would begin at Crimea’s Kerch and end at the Russian-Abkhazian border. Currently it would take a driver about 8.5 hours (provided there are no traffic jams on the way) to cover this 500-km-long distance.
